Will be interesting to see how they stack up against the 7xxx series. Looks to be a good year (and expensive one) for GPUs
Also, My Audinst HUD-MX1 DAC just arrived

This. Not seeing any hugely demanding ones I feel like buying being released soon. Happy with the GTX 570.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:
Indeed, most demanding game I will be playing most of this year is D3.-CARNIFEX-[LOC] wrote:
Now if someone would just make some games to make me want to buy a card like that....
What about the windows live movie maker? Comes free on Windows 7 AFAIKTdog2007 wrote:
This ? isn't tech related, but software related.
But anyway, I'm looking for a free video editing software that will allow me to have the video going and be able to overlay .jpgs and .gifs from one frame till another frame, as well as text, and do it as simple as possible.
Along with all the cutting and snipping, and editing sound, and etc.
Any recommendations?
there's a version for XP... i think it might be a default program. Search around on the Windows website...Tdog2007 wrote:
Well I'm using xp, so I don't have that movie maker.

VLCStreamer is better... and even easier to use.Camm wrote:
Just found a nifty app for my iPad/iPhone called Air Video. Allows you to stream media from a local server, and through a VPN I'm assuming.
Costs £1.99 for the full version, although you get a free version with some limitations (not being able to browse fully through the files on your server, etc.) You need the server client as well, but that's free.
Easy as hell to set up, you just need a pin generated by the server client that you pop in to your iOS device and boom, you can access the server.
Video playback is smooth from my experience, and even better than that, any non-supported video formats are converted on the fly to a file that your iOS device can use.
Well worth the money.
Very nice.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:
GTX 680 did launch today. Very nice card in every way, HD 7970 needs price cut now to be competitive.

Even availability was OKish here for launch day.
My Mum got a rather decent Asus (I picked out) from Comet for like £400 in October. Good spec for the price I3, 4gb ram, 640gb HDD.m3thod wrote:

Oh you're talking about that one. As far as I know its pretty crap and unable to do layer editing (movie and gifs on top editing), unless I'm missing something.Morpheus wrote:

And text has to be done on a light blue screen of death.
