About Tali's face (article link in spoiler)...
Spoiler (highlight to read):
http://kotaku.com/5891242/gamers-are-now-angry-at-bioware-because-of-an-image-in-mass-effect-3.  Funny enough when the credits were rolling I saw credits for Getty Images.  I wondered where was a stock image in ME3.  Now I know
Bioware, Bioware, Bioware...

I was fine almost straight away tbh. Not the best ending I've seen but it's not nearly as bad as people are making out IMO.

Not happy enough is the most common concern even if people won't admit it.

It's not the best ending I've seen but it's way better than many would have you believe.

It would have been way to contrived for a perfect happy ending given the circumstances.

Spoiler (highlight to read):
The scene where the Normandy crashes made no God damn sense though, but whatever, I'm just pretending that didn't happen.

I'd be cool if that was the case tbh, but there are much, much easier ways to set up a sequel. Bioware were very deliberate with what they did, but not all of it made sense. The thing DSL points out was a bit... odd.

But yeah a happy-happy-joy-joy ending would have been shit.

make the catalyst's avatar not be the kid from the beginning, have the Normandy crash land on Earth or the moon or Mars or some shit that would make sense for it to crash on, ditch the "make everyone into fucking Deus Ex" ending (potentially replacing it with a better one) and change the reasoning behind the existence of the rie-puhz to something more in line with the themes of the game.

That's all it would have taken to made the end good. Like I said, I don't hate the ending like most people do, but there were some easy ways to make it better.

The thing I just don't get is why there's actually a petition running to have the ending changed. Look, like it or not... that's their work of fiction. It's probably one of the most insulting things in the world to be a writer and then have your fans actually PETITION YOU to change your work to suit their desires. It's one thing to not like an ending, and that's totally fine. It's another thing entirely to actually request that they change the ending because they didn't like it. I didn't like that war ended up happening in Fahrenheit 451. Let's petition Ray Bradbury to change it.

So stupid.

I'm really curious about this ending but I doubt it's as bad as what the rabble claims. Maybe Bioware should respond by selling alternate ending packs as DLC.

Supposedly there's going to be DLC as well which will be free, sort of as an epilogue. Of course, I'm going to have to beat the ending again because I mistakenly chose what I thought was the destroy path. That final mission with the missiles was a pain in the ass.

The video's interesting and I think at this point is almost certain to be true. It simply seems to half-assed on Bioware's part to be the complete and total ending. I mean..

Spoiler (highlight to read):
For one, Why would the Normandy, in the middle of a fight for Earth, be in a mass relay? If the DLC comes out, it would make sense since apparently Bioware was extremely pissed about the script leak that happened earlier this year. So if it does come out and turns out to be true, I think Bioware deserves credit. As long as the DLC is free, obviously.

you were basically told what the Reapers were in ME2 though and what their motivations were at Rannoch. There was no inconsistency there.

Otherwise that's probably fair enough but I liked the final choice you had to make. I chose destroy ftr.

I looked at the theory video. Makes sense but I think it'd be a fair bit more subtle than "it was all an illusion".

Even without the theory it's pretty clear in my mind that Destroy is the "correct" ending, for reasons not dissimilar to those presented in the video.

The Geth shotgun normally does a great job, but when you have to face a total of I believe 4 banshees and probably 10 brutes... it gets difficult.

Oh and yesterday Casey Hudson basically gave a statement saying there WILL be some sort of closure DLC later in the year. If it's paid DLC, I refuse to buy it. I'm usually pretty "whatever" with buying DLC and even bought FO3's Broken Steel story add on, but I absolutely refuse if they're going to make us pay to add on to an ending that was pretty half-assed.

I was so sorely disappointed with this game. Half the length of the other games, and half of that was spent being herded from one pointless "Oh, hey, I know you from the other games!" encounter to the next. I suppose it was to be expected, given the developer and the publisher.
