I will update the server when bukkit has released and update.

Edit: Bukkit released an update but it was a failed update. To many errors so the server is set back to 1.1.

AFAIK, updating requires to completely convert the whole map to the new 'anvil' format.
I don't know if you can do that back and forth at will, so you better wait with the update.

Although, we only just started this new map, so not much would be lost.
(At least not my Unabomber-like wooden shack and stone tools.)

Every time I try to log onto either server, the game does that "connection lost: end of stream" bullshit. Looks like I won't be playing anytime soon :'(
