Fair Game - 8/10 Sean Penn was a bit too Sean Penn, otherwise it was good.

Glad to see films like this get made - The Bush govt was filled with evil men and its good to see them exposed.

Natural born killers 4/10

Maybe it didn't age well but I found it contrived and nauseating.

Zac and Cody are about 15/16 I think and get sent to some research centre with some mad scientist who turns twins into zombies.  He gets thwarted.

Because the average movie isn't teetering exactly between spectacular and shit?

The AVERAGE movie might be a 5, but most people don't watch the AVERAGE movie... Most people watch movies that interest them... Since it already interests them before they turn it on, it is already above AVERAGE to them...

If you just had a program randomly pick out movies from IMDB with no direction at all, and you used that to base what movie to watch, you would probably end up with a lot more 5s.

Captain America - 6.5/10

If you watch it from the perspective of "I'm watching a comic book" then it's actually pretty decent. If you expect any sort of realism, you're fucked.

Watching the train scene with the wife:

Me - "There's no way a train is going that fast in the mountains."

Wife - "Yeah. That's the only thing that's not realistic in this movie."

We both enjoyed it more than we expected to.

Not only it is going that fast, but they can catch it with a zip line that magically changes speeds to match the train... And is apparently 5 miles long... (The train scene actually bugged me more than the rest of the movie for "realism" too, as ridiculous as that is...) I really like the movie a lot though.

Titanic is a really emotionally manipulative movie.

The Fellowship of the Ring was 2001, the other two in 2002 and 2003 . So hm...it's not exactly a new, 2011/2012 movie which no one or just a few people have watched

Tower Heist: 6/10

Had enough funny lines to push it above a 5, but it was a close call...
Suspend your believe in physics more for this movie than for super hero movies though... Geez.

Otherwise, the characters were on-again/off-again on how likeable they were, and for the most part, you just never cared... Best person in this movie was Alan Alda though... Haven't seen him in a long time, but he really pulled the quality of this movie up. Considering how freaking many big names are in this movie though, you really would expect more laughs from it.

Barely above meh.

Firebreather - shallow and derivative, but it has cool monster fights and human opposition that actually poses a threat. I'd have given it a 6/10 if it wasn't meant to be a kid's movie, but I think it deserves a 7/10 for just that.
