fuck it, going to bed, will get some later.
You guys missed one.
So yea next patch brings world height increases. Downside will possibly only work if map is reset.
and jungle? and being able to find a stronghold?Naturn wrote:

You will need to render a new chunk for those.13urnzz wrote:

if by chunk you mean world
We can have strongholds on the map you just have to go exploring so the server can generate new chucks.
Well, the problem is, whenever something is released that needs a new chunk, it'll be further and further away from our current buildings.Naturn wrote:

I read that you can use certain editors to copy&paste chunks into a new world. Maybe that still works.
Would be much more convenient to have a stronghold or other new features (mushroom islands, jungles) in front of my door.
Or the next adjoining chunk that has no user-built stuff on it.
That would of course mess up the borders of biomes and do other weird things at the cuts.
You should just start over.
...
how many hours have you spent building things in the current server tucker?
It was merely a suggestion. I hop on single player occasionally and I like to start over every once in a while.Eagle wrote:

It just sounds like there are so many new things available that you may be missing out on by staying with the current map. It WOULD be awesome if you could cut and paste the things you want onto a new map though huh?
...
well why not migrate west "explore"globefish23 wrote:

Would you kindly upload the lastest map render on the server? Its probably a 50MB+.jsnipy wrote:

I've went way the heck out to explore. No strongholds where the detectors marked them, and no occupied slime chunks. Do whatever you want, though.
true.
i've made an outpost 3000+ west.
said fuck it, started mining it . . .

Some cool stuff that's going to be released:
Fire Charge
Has two uses:
1. Is a one use-only flint and steel
2. When shot out of a dispenser, it behaves like a blaze fire ball and sets whatever it hits on fire
Redstone Lantern
Unpowered
Powered
When given a redstone current, it glows with light one degree brighter than a standard torch.

Working on something with Burnz.
Will post address to new server soon.
Server IP: 68.232.182.113
Dynmap: http://68.232.182.113:8123
IP to the new server with a new map. I'm still waiting for the DNS to come through for the url.(mc2.digital-sickness.net) Other wise I still have tweaking to do with the settings. I have setup 4 outposts just like the last server so you have your choice of locations to build if you want or you coul just explore the rest of the world. If any of you have issues just shoot me a PM.

So is this new server an entirely new world parallel to our old one is it replacing the old one?
the old one will stay up and running as well
