the damn list of tweaks EA released has been way too unclear about this matter really
If u were good at flying the chopper alone before then u shouldn't have any problems. Only thing i can see as a problem is that missiles still lock if ur in gunner seat.
It still works every bit as well as it did before.

If you watch/listen closely, you can tell that the chopper engine is about to die before I go back into the pilot position at the end of the movie.

I hate all of you bastards who fly with a mouse and can pull this off LOL!!! I cannot fly the chopper for crap with a mouse! I have a joystick and throttle but for me to perform the trick its required that I take my hands off of my flight controls, then do some super uber micro movements on my keyboard to switch to the gunner seat, right click, fire, guide, hit target F1, F1, F1, F1, F1 LOL!!! BOOM CRASH!
I can do it just fine mate, switching from joystick to f2 and mouse and firing almost instantly takes a fair amount of practice137[CSi] wrote:

Try turning the chopper to the left before leaving the pilots seat (assuming it still veers off to the the right with 1.3) It buys you a lot vital extra time
Take a gander at Joy2Key sometime. You can map the F1 and F2 keys to any joystick buttons you please. I filmed this video while flying with a joystick.137[CSi] wrote:

With Joy2Key, you can also use the Commo Rose and FreeLook with the joystick hat. When you get behind an enemy jet, "Spot" it and it makes following them so much easier to follow since they appear on your mini-map. Good times.

Or you can approach your target like I do against that SU-34 at the end of the video. Come in at an angle and that cuts the rotational spin down considerably.SargeV1.4 wrote:

yup, I just did it myself too. even with the longest range target I could find the engine hadn't cut off yet

THe feel of flying the chopper is different. Same thing with the cars. It's more realistic..
The chopper will cut out when there is nobody in it.
so basically the *fix* is to keep it from flying for the whole round, a shame really.

What happens is that after about 5 seconds,the rotrs cut out and it starts to fall. Still possible to go solo though. Only Just though

The rotors cut out after 10 seconds or so, but the engine never stops. It looks very strange when all the rotors are stopped but you can still hear the engine. -_-
