Found a neat MAV trick on Metro:
When you're RU, fly the MAV down the right hand side of the metro station and over the roadblock. You can then get past the buildings and on top of the station itself. There's nothing there - you're off the map - but you can still land on it and scan the enemies inside. They can't shoot it, and you can reposition it at will as the frontline shifts. Also, it's possible to land it on the burning top floors of the cafe flag buildings. The flames don't damage it, and it's protected from enemy gunfire while it scans the building.
I get about 20-30 surveillance efficiency ribbons in a single game, and every 50 of those you get a medal worth 10k points. Too easy.

The thing I like most about BF2 is that it didnt appeal to noobs like Bad Company and Now Battlefield 3 is doing with this instant gratification shit with all these ranks/unlocks/assignments, 3d spotting, regerating health, AND vehicles, cramped maps etc. I wish they stuck with the formula of BF2 and didn't bend it towards appealing console players. But that's life all good things either change or come to an end. I look at Battlefield 3 not as a sequel but as a completely different type of game that I can still have fun with.

It has the potential to. If they'd fix up the contrast, crap maps by BF2 standards, UI/Interface, Got rid of some of the unlocks like IRNV/Tactical light, got rid of 3d spotting, got rid of basically all the shit i mentioned earlier catering to bad players then they'd have a game that would be on par with BF2.

http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/dic … e-changes/THE BUZZ: Alan Kertz, Core Gameplay Designer at DICE, has released a list featuring a number of changes that the team plans to implement in future patches, and is asking for feedback on those that are good and those that are not. “Rather than waiting until we launch these updates for feedback, today I would like to give you, the Community, a peak into the Balance testing that we are doing here at DICE,” he said.
The changes include:
Vehicles:
Increased the locking distance for Jets when locking on laser designated targets.
Increased the damage the MBT’s primary weapon does to other main battle tanks.
AA Missiles should no longer kill the pilot instead of the vehicle.
Tank rounds will now instantly destroy Jets, Attack Helicopters, and Scout Helicopters.
Using flares too early will no longer distract missiles fired at long range. The missile must be approaching the vehicle in order to reliably be distracted by flares.
Attack Helicopter Guided Rockets will now only track ground targets, as originally intended.
Reduced the direct damage done by helicopter gunners vs armor.
Slightly increased the blast radius of the rounds fired by helicopter gunners vs infantry.
Vehicle weapons should now suppress correctly.
Increased the direct hit damage of the APFSDS rounds for the IFVs.
Miniguns and Helicopter Gunners now more quickly destroy parked cars.
Weapons:
Significantly increased the damage of Laser Guided Top Attack missiles.
Javelin missiles fired without laser targeting now do more damage to the side and rear of MBTs.
Slightly reduced the repair speed of the repair tool.
Fixed a problem when locking on to two nearby targets, the locking should no longer jump rapidly between multiple targets.
Reduced the total number of RPG and SMAW missiles carried from 5 to 4.
Slightly reduced the locking time of all weapons vs Laser Designated targets.
Slightly reduced the effective blast radius of the RPG and SMAW projectiles against infantry.
Reduced the recoil of the SKS rifle and slightly increased its power at close range.
Semiautomatic sniper rifles, Assault Rifles, and LMGs now have more consistent damage over long range.
Increased the close range damage maximum range of 9x39mm ammo.
Soldiers:
Increased the spawn protection time from 1sec to 2sec. The protection will still be immediately canceled as soon as the player moves or shoots.
Spawn protection will no longer be canceled by the player looking around.
Slightly increased the speed at which a player can shoot again after sprinting.
EGM’s TAKE: A lot of good moves on DICE’s part especially in the vehicle section, as many players complain that tanks are to hard to destroy with conventional rocket launchers with engineers repairing them faster than damage can be delivered.
sigh
50% disable penalty + you reduce the repair speed of the repair tool. Are you fucking Retarded DICE?
>Slightly reduced the effective blast radius of the RPG and SMAW projectiles against infantry.
good

This games so boring I have no interest to play any more.
Yeah, just on high across the board. I had it on ultra but frames would drop to 30's at times so I put it back a notch.
Me too. Getting tired of waiting for the choppers....

I miss the days before every gun had a billion fucking attachments. 2142 had a great unlock system, all they needed to do was add maybe 3 sights for rifles (holo, red dot, scope) and just leave the sniper rifles the way they were in BF2. Instead making supressors stupid they could just have a "recon carbine" with it automatically attached. Arggggggggggggggggg.
Exactly I hate all this instant gratification bullshit. I wish they let you choose which unlocks you want like Black Ops did instead of having to unlock a million scopes that I will never use.
It works , and no not right underneath , you have to have a certain angle towards your enemy from underneath to be able to hit (being "underneath" metro is not the same as bazaar)Jimbob23 wrote:

well it doesnt seem like it when you're saying you're only able to do it from straight underneath ...Jimbob23 wrote:

I don't remember it handling quite as 'pudding like' as it does in BF3, but the BF2 Havoc had a mitigating factor that equalized any handling issues:gurdeep wrote:
