Yeah but once you get a sight unlocked, it's straight up rape, especially with a foregrip and suppressor. Apparently.
The FAMAS is pretty good once you get a red dot, but I think the F2000 might be a bit better.

Like all LMGs in this game, it has quite some recoil and needs some time getting used to it but even then you can still get owned by other guns (rifles and carbines).
You have to burst fire (3-4 shots) at longer ranges to hit something but you can still go full auto "à la Rambo" to suppress but it requires to control the recoil to fire in the general direction.
At first it was really hard since you don't have anything except the bipod but when you unlock scopes, the fore grip and the suppressor it gets easier, particularly with the suppressor because it reduces recoil a bit and gives the advantages of the suppressor.

I 86 the bipod. I hate how it automatically sets it up on whatever I'm near, preventing me from dropping behind cover if I need to. Gotten me killed a few times...

DA was one of the main servers I played in, in BF2, I never had this problem.
