ridiculous and ignorant comment. our one and only friend in this world and you want to go that route? stupid.
I didn't mean it as a negative.  I support Isreal 100% and their right to defend themselves from an enemy that has said outright they want to destroy them.  Perhaps where your tiny brain got confused by my post was that I implied I would rather have them take care of Iran instead of us.  They have the intelligence and the hardware in place to deal with them directly so I would rather the United States take a support role in all of this.
Fair enough, thank you for the explanation. I can definitely see/understand where you are coming from. I too would much rather the US take support roles instead of seemingly take on the worlds problems head on as it seems we are doing, or at least feels that way. I guess it comes with the territory of being a military power.

I disagree. I feel it is our one and only true ally in regards to democracy, militarily, economically, and most of all Biblically (which some may agree or disagree with)

Credibility? Thats why I said "(which some may agree or disagree with)" because its based on faith, in a religious book that some on these forums may agree with and others may not, and I understand that.

Iran could probably buy a lot of diplo-time by crating the thing up and dropping it over the border with "from Persia with love" stamped on the side.

The U.S. has handed Iran vital military information and technology on a silver platter. Common sense dictates you do whatever you can to get that kind of thing away from your enemy that could use it later against you or develop something better from your work.
Common sense dictates appropriate action after weighing the possible consequences. You imagine Iran (or anyone else for that matter) using drones to spy on American assets? I doubt that. It is certainly not worth a military strike or putting American covert lives at risk. So just take "whatever" off of the table now.

shifty seems to be ignorant of the fact that america is 100% in the wrong here to be spying on another sovereign state. if you get caught spying, then it's your ass pointed skywards whilst a bunch of arab dicks queue up to pork it. iran hasn't done anything wrong here, shifty, nor have they done anything wrong or aggressive towards america since, well, forever. now every nation has spy networks, lets not be silly and make this an 'america r evul' thread... but the fact is that you guys got caught doing it with your already-controversial spy drone technology that the middle-east and pakistan fucking hates. iran doesn't owe you shit, much less does it deserve to be bombed or have people killed.

If it truly was a malfunction that sent it over Iran, then America isn't in the wrong at all. I'm not convinced that to be the case, but that case has been made, and hasn't been disproven.

This was an unarmed drone...completely different than the ones that those in the ME hate. And most would argue that 1979, backing anti-US terrorists since and especially backing insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan would constitute "doing anything wrong or aggressive towards america since, well, forever".

Don't disagree that there is no need to bomb anyone over this. But a couple of your points just didn't make sense, 'zique.

I think even a euro like you understands how "staying on your side of the planet" is literally impossible.

uum how obtuse are you being? you think the drone malfunctioned and then... flew into iranian airspace, by accident? rofl. you guys were clearly spying on iranian facilities when the bird glided to the ground. you were in the wrong-- espionage. spying. breaking international law and infringing on sovereign rights. stop being such a mong.

It may not be the case here, but Predators have lost control inputs and flown toward the border of Iran before.

We did successfully stop one from getting into Iran by having an F-15E blast it with a sidewinder.  (Coincidentally, that was also the F-15E that shot down an Iraqi helicopter with a laser guided bomb in the first Gulf War.)

lol funny that. american hardware malfunctions and just keeps flying over iran, those people you don't want to have nuclear technology who are also conspicuously silent it's almost as if the middle-east is just a few conjoined fields...

The US spies on everyone. Naive to think they wouldn't. That you're getting resistance to that fact from the governments hype men on this forum isn't surprising.

yep, i thought it was pretty clear to everyone involved here that the U.S. was caught with its pants down, and now is in a bit of an 'oopsie!' pickle. i'm in disbelief that some people on this forum actually buy the line that all these drones 'accidentally' keep malfunctioning and heading north-east (AS IF BY A DESIGNED MALFUNCTION) to iranian airspace. lol. come on, be real. you guys are covertly spying on iran against international law (everyone does it so that in itself isn't so bad) but the fact is a) iran doesn't owe you shit and b) you don't owe iran an aggressive strike.

it very well could be that this particular drone did accidentally creep into Iranian airspace.  That doesn't mean we don't have drones in the air over Iran though.  The US won't ever admit to that but everyone understands the game being played.  It's much ado about nothing as far as I'm concerned.
