Never understood the whole DPI adjust thing, I lock my mx518 to highest settings, otherwise I might aswell have bought a cheaper mouse (not that it was expensive)...

Never felt the need to adjust it "on the fly"

i only ever change dpi when getting into a tank or something, to rotate the turret more. don't get this whole 'different dpi for different ranges' shit. just seems like noobishly over-engineering a solution to a problem that doesn't even exist. play on the same sens for everything. bf3 fucks up the sensitivity settings between infantry combat and vehicle combat, anyway, and totally forgets your config. rofl.

I find sniping a bit easier with lower DPI. Makes the mouse less twitchy and less likely to overshoot.

Btw...there's different sensitivity option for inf/vehicles

I've been winning in shooters without it for as long as I can remember Finny... Not that it's an achievement to boast about considering the average shooter player these days...

The real question is who cares. I use a very high sensitivity for when I'm running around and using assault rifles etc. So when I actually sit back with a sniper for once clicking down to a lower DPI setting helps.

Seriously, who cares. To each their own.
