BF3 always crash only first time

The first time i run BF3 it always crashes, normally on start up but sometimes it survives this and I can play a bit and then it crashes. CTD's with no error message. This happens every time i play, i can start it again and then its 100% stable.

Im running windows 7 x64 SP1, all updated, all chipset and gfx drivers etc. Nothing else on my system except firefox and some saved jpgs and movies. Fresh install basically. All the media is on seperate sata3 drives.

Any ideas?

tonight its crashing every time and battlelog keeps giving errors. FFS

im not too keen on Origin stealing all my bank data either!

Have you tried the repair install option in origin? That fixed my problems.

Consider it a bug in the game and has nothing to do with your hardware
