Stats have always been meaningless but unfortunately you need to grind points to unlock shit. The faster I rank up the sooner I get the semi-IR-blocking camo.

went into a multiplayer game, unbinded all the joystick keys (once I got kicked for being idle ) but I still can't bind my joystick at all

when I go to calibrate it, it's all working fine and every button is being picked up on.

Unplug it first, then go into the singleplayer menu and unbind everything. Exit, plug in joystick and rebind everything.

Did exactly that, still doesn't pick up any button at all

e: all the joystick options in all the other menus are cleared too.

turns out BF3 must have been looking for input from my joypad thinking that was the joystick I wanted to use. unplugging that and it's binding now.
