Start whoring the M203 like before Particularly good against the 12 year old engineers who use RPG to take out infantry... (ie. why they shouldn't have combined classes). Rest is the same as the BC series, simply spray with minimal weapon control required, and you'll have kills in no time. No real discipline needed in these new BF games.
Karma for all till I run out
It would. An AT class that doesn't also have all the goodies of an engineer is not as appealing as the current all in one. People would spread out kit choices more.RTHKI wrote:

You didn't have AT's running around going after infantry in BF2 - maybe the odd rocket or so but that's it, and especially not to the proportions of BC2 and BF3. Classes need to be limited to induce teamwork, and Engineer is just not - you're a one man army. The separated classes forced you to rely on others. This is all in line with the current "reward" type games (achievements, awards, rank up effects, etc.) whereby they expect people to believe if teamwork were to actually happen, that it should be seen as a *bonus* in which allows you to progress even faster. A real sequel would have instilled a *need* for teamwork in order to progress - at all - in a game. Teamwork was fine in BF2 in public servers, the games structure provided all the incentive that was needed. I was always running and capping with my squad, always fighting as a team. I'm pretty sure 99% of my time playing BC2 and BF3 thus far I've been a lone wolf, and that goes for most others I see on my team as well - Youtube videos provide further proof.RTHKI wrote:

Bullshit, you had AT´s shooting you with rockets all the time in Bf2. I myself used it quite a lot. It was especially useful cause your victim couldn´t get revived, the splash was big enough up close to fire it blind and the guiding let you outsnipe snipers on almost any range.
stop being retarded, BF2's rocket spam is NOTHING compared to BC2/BF3'sBullshit, you had AT´s shooting you with rockets all the time in Bf2.
These are all hilarious and contain some good information
I never said it was.Lucien wrote:

Find me a non-IO BF2 account with at least 100 hours of play that has the AT as the primary kit. And then tell me again that BF3's Engineer needs to be split up.hexify wrote:

Sry, couldn't resist.
I'm an AT sniper from way back on BF2.
535 hours with my trusty AT kit.
It's the only kit that allows you to engage EVERY enemy player/vehicle/aircraft on the map.
My tip for BF3.
Equip the AT mines (engi kit) with the explosives upgrade which gives you 6 mines instead of three and also doubles the amount of rockets for your SRAW/Stinger launchers.
Lay the mines in small triangles of three mines at a time in the vehicle access points/channels around the map as quickly as you can when you spawn.
They will stay on the map for AGES even after you die and respawn although if you lay down a new set of mines once you respawn the original ones will disappear.
Try to place them in shadows or where there is already a lot of clutter on the ground to make them harder for the enemy to detect and destroy.
Trying to kill a tank/APC that is aware of you with RPG/SRAW/Javelin is sometimes tough and usually they will bail before the vehicle explodes and you won't get the kill with the vehicle.
One mine will generally disable an amoured vehicle but not destroy it immediately.
Two mines will destroy the vehicle almost straight away.
Three mines in a little cluster will ensure an immediate kill on any vehicle and any drivers/passengers.
This is a good way to ensure that you get at least a couple of destroyed vehicles and associated kills with every spawn of an engineer kit.
Lay down the mines and then if you die respawn as a different kit until you see the following :
Vehicle disabled
Vehicled destroyed
Enemy killed
Enemy killed
Enemy killed
Triple Kill
Then respawn as engi the next time you die and drop some more explosive goodies.
Locations :
1) Anywhere in the tunnel on Damavand
2) Under the bridge near Container on Noshahr Canals
3) In the areas where cars block half the roadway on the exterior of Grand Bazaar
4) On the roads near Truck on Tehran Highway
5) On the roads where they are restricted by the tollbooths at Checkpoint on Caspian
6) Same again between the tollbooths at the Filling Station flag on Firestorm
7) on the exits from each of the main bases on Seine Crossing
I should clarify that this is only if playing on normal mode (as on Hardcore you will also end up killing a lot of teammates with this tactic).
If you need to rank up and get some unlocks this is a very easy way to do so.
P.S. - sorry it's so long. Needed to be descriptive in order to be clear.

It takes a million shots to kill someone if you single fire. Burst fire is very accurate and gets more bullets on target.aerodynamic wrote:
