I don't think U.S. pennies have hardly any copper at all... I think it is just a copper plating over zinc if I remember right... Like 2 or 3 percent copper plating.

Exactly... I keep hearing the cost of the penny is more than the value of the penny... I wonder how much is metal, and how much is machines, and labor, and etc... They keep flirting with the idea of getting rid of it, but it is all those fractions from interest rates and stuff that they say keeps it around...

My thought is, all those fractions are fractions of a penny as it is... So that wouldn't really change, would it?

Besides, digitally, you could still have cents... Get rid of the physicals though, in my opinion...

While I am not saying you are inaccurate, I will say that 20 years has not been my typical experience... Most worn out bills I get are about 8-10 years old. Actually... Do they even put actual print years on them anymore, or just series? All the crappy ones I always get are Series 2003A if I remember right.
