When my friend tries to start BF3 up it says..

"We're sorry an error has occurred. There is a problem with your game setup. Please reinstall your game."

Tried searching everywhere and haven't seen any solutions that worked.

**EDIT: FIXED. He didn't have a video card before and when we installed his new on Directx wasn't installed so I just went and had him install it

Alright did you try reinstalling the game?  How about checking to see if the game has been updated?  Right click the game in origin and click check for updates.

Yeah check for updates. There was 472MB of them to download after I installed it from disk.
