Anyway, the conquest maps that are in BC2 are infantry combat shitfests that are just as narrow and linear as the RUSH maps... If I wanted that I'd play call of duty, at least it's netcode doesn't cause half my bullets to go straight through the guy I'm shooting at without doing damage to him...

Meh I disagree, but that's probably because I use the armor alot lol. I find the best infantry maps to be White Pass, Arica Harbor and Oasis on Conquest. Everything Else I play armor on.FloppY_ wrote:

I never got the feeling that Caspian Border was just a rush map that got a few flags attached, that was always the feeling I got from the BC2 Conquest maps. Maybe this won't be as true for some of the urban maps as I don't see how Metro for instance will translate to Conquest but I remain hopeful.
I get why people might not like BF3, the fact that it isn't built in the same engine alone is always going to make it feel closer to BC2 than BF2 but I think DICE has just about done enough to make it more in line with the "true" Battlefield theme.
This is not to say there aren't some things I'm annoyed about, possible lack of joystick support alone is a real kick in the teeth, four man squads are just lazy copy paste coding and while I have no problem with using Battlelog as a replacement for the in-game server browser (in quite a lot of ways I actually prefer it) I don't like that things like VoIP are being run through it instead of through the server.
