Got most of my new winter gear the other day. There is snow on the peaks, getting so stoked for winter.
Watching these videos makes me wish I could ski or snowboard. One day... my girlfriend started skiing when she was like 4 years old. Typical Austrian. Can't wait until I graduate, going to take a week or two holiday and get my friend who's a licensed instructor to teach me everything. One day.
Getting the basics is easy, the most important part is learning how to fall properly, experience is the only thing that seems to teach that.CapnNismo wrote:

I always thought "winter has gotta really suck for those that don't enjoy a winter sport.", good thing for me I do.
I don't have any winter sports, but I love winter here in Austria. Grew up in the southern half of the USA pretty much my entire life and never had a proper winter with snow (except for the short time I was in New Mexico). Going out in Vienna in subzero temperatures with snow everywhere and getting hot wine is brilliant.
