The only one shot on a tank, (ONLY USMC M1A2) is when the shell ricochets off the front treads into the turret.

I hate this crap too. Happens mostly on Kubra Dam, where the lone helo pilot who unrealistically changes seats through bullet-proof glass and fires TV missiles at the blink of an eye reigns king.

Not for long, however. Thanks to a screwup by DICE, 1.3 will begin HELPING PEOPLE in regards to this matter, meaning that helos will drop like a rock when no one is in the pilot seat! Yay for DICE accidentally helping people against their intentions!

a rocket from behind u will take u out completely if it it hits the tyre tracks and the tank will start burning and when u see a TOW always aim for it cause infantry will always go for it

anyway, i get 2 shots to the front treads and kill, i never get to aim to the back... but the shots to the treads always get the job done.

There is a sweet spot on the tanks.  If you hit the tank from the front just below the turret, the shell well bounce off the top of the tank and then hit the turret.  Thus, you actually get 2 hits on the tank.  On the M1A2, if the cannon is pointed upwards and you hit at the base of the cannon...you can score a kill.  There's a really good website that has all the secrets to this.  It's something like secretsofbf2.com or something like that.
