so fun watching the spread of the shotgun scatter across the dirt. skeet was fun too, even though i was pretty bad. saw some guys there doing some crazy ass shit though.
question. how powerful is a shotgun? as in how much velocity, i know the whole point is damage from the spread?)
would it kill someone in a home defense scenario? (shot to the chest)

would a shotgun kill someone 5-10m away from you if you shot them in the chest?
did you seriously need to ask that?

One shot from a 12 ga (00 Buckshot round = 9 lead balls about the mass & velocity of a 9mm pistol slug) is roughly equivalent to 9 rounds from an MP5 submachinegun.
ouch, nevermind then.
btw that video was sick as hell shocking.

crossbow is probably more accurate than an arrow in a shotgun
crossbow is probably more accurate than an arrow in a shotgun
More like 9 .32ACP+P, if I recall correctly.rdx-fx wrote:

So im seriously considering purchasing an AR15, since I've wanted one for a loooong time. Anyone have any advice/tips/preferences?
I recently bought a CMMG .22 ar-15 .... brand new super cheap and the lower receiver is the lower receiver that you could use to put any upper onEagle wrote:

most other companies that deign a lower .22 ar-15 use mostly plastic .... once you get the ar-15 then you can buy a 5.56 upper later on and you can have it shipped right to your doorstep, you don't need a FFL to purchase uppers for an ar-15
yes i sometimes carry my S&W 442 in .38spl +pandros wrote:
any of you guys like revolvers/have them for CCW?
dunno i like revolvers but mainly see a lot of pistols posted here.
carries great at 1 o'clock iwb.
This is what I did when I bought my first AR-15. It was an Olympic Arms .22 AR. Got it for about $700. Later on I bought a Bushmaster upper in 5.56. I want to get a 8" LWRC PSD upper. Need a tax stamp for that though, because that'll make it a SBR.SEREMAKER wrote:

I don't know how familiar you are with the AR-15/M-16 platform, but if you're not the .22 upper is a good start. Cheap too.

You're probably more accurate.RAIMIUS wrote:

I was going for a comparison that a gun novice might have some vague familiarity with.
MP5 submachinegun is ubiquitous in entertainment media, and one of the few firearms someone from the UK may have seen or heard of outside of a video game.
Is it true that the ball bearings in a Claymore warp into something like a .22 when detonated?
If you're going cheap you can build one for $632 and these are not junk parts:Eagle wrote:

Buy a stripped Surplus Ammo and Arms lower $56 + $10 shipping + $20 transfer = $86
Buy a rifle kit (everything but the stripped lower, rear sight and mag, but does include the LPK) $469 + $8 shipping
Magpul rear sight (if going cheap). $55
Pmag Magazine $14
or
Stripped lower
Lower Parts Kit (LPK)
Buttstock (with tube, buffer and spring)
Complete upper assembly
Sights/optics
