THe original idea for AoE (hence the games title)
V seems like a pretty optimistic future
Armor technology seems to have outpaced weapons technology to the point where putting people in large bulky suits of armor is a viable option again.jsnipy wrote:

I actually saw a fucking GFWL pulldown menu...in the trailer.
No thanks.
It's actually advertising the wart that is the GFWL interface. So no thanks.RTHKI wrote:
well its just showing the interface
I'd like it better if they turned it into an MMORPG like warcraft did.
So I tried to give it a fair shake and played it for a bit. Only single player, got to like level 6.
It just feels like a Zynga game that should be on Facebook. Some essence of the original series is still there, just feels cheap.
I dunno, probably great with mp, just can't bear any more of it.

wtf?RTHKI wrote:
it seems silly to pay for skirmish mode
i also dont like have to level up to get more buildings/units
that's turrible.
Haha, wow. "And that's not all! You get to give us more of your money if you want the full experience!" Jesus. It's an offense to the entire series to call this Age of Empires. And that’s just where the experience starts! As players grow their empires and look for new adventures, Age of Empires Online delivers the opportunity to buy new Premium Content Packs – everything from entirely new civilizations to Booster Packs with new game modes and more.
delivers the opportunity
lol
lol
I wouldnt mind playing as a greek. I loved the old AoE/M series. But this is just disgusting.
i looked at this, then saw it used GFWL and deleted the installer.

I still can't get the game to work ... it needs some code which I believe you can get through your marketplace account, but it doesn't accept my user name and password (which I know to be correct).
*sigh* maybe one day I'll have more time to figure it out ...
