If I wasnt a hypocrite I would dislike Valve for milking people but the amount of money they have extracted from absolute idiots is just too funny. EA/Activison style is mainly from people who dont know any better, Valves is just fucking over spergy idiots who want cosmetic items.

games <-> tf2 items trading has been quite a big "business" for quite some time on spuf forums and sourceop for example.

people get scammed by sending their items and expecting the scammer to gift a game -> people go cry to steam support -> valve gets fed up -> valve implements universal trading.

while this update is not of significant interest to most people, it's going to save valve's tech support a lot of work. was kind of expected, really.

I gift games very regulary. And as far as I read, this will include the option to trade games for games. Including those spare copies you tend to get when buying packs in sales.

2) Give Steam buddies extra giftable copies of games when they're packaged with the game itself.
3) Receive games in return.

Yeh they vary from pack to pack. I have a couple of spare copies of games from packs. The majority just dont give the extra one though.

I believe that this is dependent on the respective game's publisher/developer.
Because from a business point of view, one free gift equals one less customer.

I got it. Looks fun, too. Have only been able to play half an hour so far. Never played the original. Stealth action is my thing and is pretty fun. Also enjoy exploring and FPS's with RPG elements. Seems to have a nice story, too. Basically this is exactly my cup of tea, hopefully it's yours, too.
