I'm going to try and reinstall again...I think my problem was that all my keys were coming up as invalid...random. We'll see what happens when I try again. I miss this game.

I tried re-installing the other day and it got to the 3rd disk and it sounded like my disk drive was hung up, tried it twice

yeah, i remember having problems with the 3rd disc a few times. i have the dvd now tho. just download an .iso and use your cd key
Copy + paste the data from all your CDs into a folder on your PC then run setup.exe. Patch to 1.41, then 1.5

Nope, just can't play multiplayer on both at the same time.
I just got my new laptop, now i have to find my cd key and reinstall not only BF2 but all my other games + programs.
I'd probably reinstall if we could get together a weekly playtime thing. Yeah I'm kinda tempted to see what it's like to suck all over again.

I think we need to have an SF night - find an SF server (thats not dedicated to padding) and all join up for a game. As long as we get the 6+ people to start a game, the remaining slots should get filled by randoms so it won't be one big flag-capathon.
I play BF2 just about daily, but it's been aaaaaaaaages since I've had a good game of SF. If we could just get a 32p+/vehicles/all maps server going.....

Special forces was my favorite.
