First of all, this thread isn't about stats and it isn't about me hating aviators (basically).
If you can fly an airplane and bomb you are infact, god! Totally untouchable. Only threats are other planes but from my experience that's not to common either. And if you are infact really good you just shoot them down and keep on bombing.
Only things you can do about a plane on the ground is to get into a stinger (lol!) or damage the plane in an AA-vehicle and get bombed afterwards. Ok, you can also get into an air plane and get shotdown (unless there is a 10ppl queue).
The armor on the jets is not that good anymore, I know, but that doesn't really matter because they are so fast that not much can hit them anyways.
I hear some screaming armor whores and heli whores. These two on the other hand are possible to stop from the ground.
For the armors there are always alot of antitank guys running around and engineers can place mines over the roads. It's also possible for the other team to stop armor whores, if they have only one flag left all that's needed is just a couple of guys getting tired and selecting the AT kit and taking them out. Not to mention the TOW.
For the helis AT also works to some extent but an FAV/Vodnik/Humvee is the shit against helis. You can almost kill an attack heli with the machine gun before it overheats, just needs to take a 1s pause and boom, two kills (or the heli goes away). Also the stinger is dangerous, just as the TOW for tanks/APC's
There isn't an option like this for the air planes, no anti air kit and no air bombs. Just a stinger, which you probaly get shot in after a minute when an enemy infantery/sniper spots you and see an easy kill btw.
I tried to think of some things to balance the air gods a bit as well, so that infantery have a chance to move.
* one would be to slow down the reload time of the bombs, that you have to either fly slowly across an air field or even land. Not perhaps neccessarily stop, but roll like 20m on the airfield to reload and repair.
* the other would be to add some air bombs/grenades that they get damaged by, but I'm not to fancy about that idea because it would affect the helis as well and they are quite balanced.
* third would be to limit or even remove the lock on indicator, forcing them to use the map like other (which many pilots infact also do)
Does anyone else have some ideas to balance the jets (no, it's not balanced to get 40:1 killratio..)?
I must admit that I admire the skill of some pilots, I cannot understand how they can have such accuracy with every bomb and especially how they manage to bomb so much everywhere and all the time.
