Thats what I've been reading on the alpha forums and it seems that way in the game. I put like four RPGS broadside into the IFV last night and failed to destroy it. I know there are hard\soft points in the armor but side armor is thinner than frontal..Kampframmer wrote:

The hits were spaced about 30seconds to one minute apart due to supression and position changes.. So it def seems like its there.
I havent confirmed it first hand since I've only briefly used the IFV as a passenger.
