I finally got a job, but it's going to take me a while to save up enough to play this game.

I haven't been keeping up with the latest computer technology for about 1 1/2 years now. I have no idea how much it will cost me to get a good enough computer to play this game. I'll stop off at Frys tomorrow morning and see how much it'll cost me to build one.

E* is it still cheaper these days to build your own as opposed to buying one? Even if it's more expensive I generally prefer building because I can chose the components.

I know the destruction has been toned down a touch in BF3, but imagine how cool it would be to carpet bomb a map like Mashtuur with a BF2 style 5-bomb F15!

The game is pretty good. One or two hiccups here and there, though that's expected. Most annoying issue so far is a persistent freezing. Seems to occur whenever the M-COM's are knocked out and you move to the next area. Pain in the ass but I'm hoping its just an Alpha issue, and won't pop in Beta or full.

Yep, there doesn't seem to be a solution for it at the moment. I have no clue as to how much ammo is left in the weapon half the time...

If you press M in game your mini map will appear larger on the screen, that helps a lot.

The game itself seems to me just an updated BC2, with prone and a jump over things animation. Its ok and no doubt will get better with each version.

Yeah there is, more than BC2 but less than BF2. Found that the pistols have pretty much 0 recoil, i managed to get someone at 150m away without any bullets missing.

Its alright, better than bc2, i forgot the hit reg in bf2.

There have been issues for some playing the BF3 Alpha with Nvidia video cards.  They have just released a set of drivers to deal with this issue.

bf2 is shoot point blank, no hits

You can shoot point blank in this game and you will hit, from the hip to but it depends.
