We've had a beer rennaisance here in america over the last 10-15 years. There are as many beer flavor, style and ABV variations as you could possibly want to choose from. Pretty cool, but most bars still have the standard bud light, coors light heineken, guinness etc. InBev dominates.menzo wrote:

That's something about drinking I don't understand. Why are you worrying about calories in something if you're going to drink eight of them before the night is out in order to get drunk? An easy way the companies can cut calories is lowering the alcohol percentage in them (as with that MGD 64), but that means you'd need to drink more to get as much alcohol into your system as you would with another beverage. Plus, ethanol has an energy density of 7 kcal/g anyway (compared to 9 from fat and 4 from proteins/carbohydrates), and those are unavoidable if you're drinking to get drunk.

What good is alcohol by volume, anyway? Sure it can tell you the volume of alcohol in a drink, but you don't know the concentration of it, so that is pretty much useless information.
