I don't understand the animosity some Americans have towards Hugo. I mean okay sure the guy has said some anti-American remarks and has been critical of the U.S. foreign policy. He's also much more left than the U.S. but aside from nationalizing some businesses that some Americans had capital invested in, he really hasn't done anything to the U.S. and isn't a threat to us at all.

I have a feeling this ''zomg Hugo Chavez" thing is just another instance of people getting riled up over something they see on T.V. and don't understand. I don't care for him as a person at all but it'll probably be better for everyone if he continues living so there isn't instability in that area. I don't want there to be an excuse for oil prices to jump.

I guess since US car companies are owned by international shareholders the US doesn't make cars either?
