Why is this clown being given so much air time? The support for Palin is ridiculous, it makes so little sense. The type of person who seriously want to see this woman run anything bigger than a coffee shop seem to me that the type of person who'd say "and then what happened" after the punchline of a joke.

I'm not against her politics, she reflects her particular branch of conservatism, that's fine. I do question her intelligence and her ability to lead. She's a creationist. She doesn't believe in global warming - and not like Bush's middle ground either. She preaches abstinance and wants it taught in lieu of proper sex education in schools. She believes that the second coming of Jesus will be in her lifetime. She has had more than enough opportunities to prove she has something between the ears and failed miserably each time, this isn't the sort of thing that should be ignored. Her experience is limited to a couple of terms as mayor of a 7000-strong town and a half-term as Governor of a state with a population almost half that of Auckland New Zealand. She's had more experience as a reality TV star.

I get that she's the spunky hockey mom from a good ol' honest background - so what? You're talking about the leader of the most powerful nation on earth here, you need more substance than that.

My theory is she won't run because she has proven to be more trouble than she's worth. I doubt the Republicans will support her or elect her as their candidate because they know this. I doubt she'll run as a third party candidate because this would rob votes from the Republican candidate. To be perfectly honest I think her life as a celebrity, TV star and now I guess movie star is far more important to her than seeking office anyway and any hintings at possible Presidential candidacy would serve only to boost this career in the same way Trump did.
