The news came today that despite earlier promises, 2.3 will not arrive for the HTC Desire.
This pushed me over towards trying out a custom ROM for the first time and I've rooted and installed Cyanogen mod. Seems pretty cool so far .
Edit: In the time between me starting the root and finishing the installation of the mod, HTC have actually said it will be getting 2.3 after all .
Well whatever. Everything I've done is undoable. And I've been wanting to try custom ROMs for ages anyway.

Had a friend complain about their droid x not working right since the gb update. Verizon gave them a brand new Droid X 2.

The thunderbolt is a haus of a phone without a doubt. The major downfall is the battery. 4g sucks it up.jsnipy wrote:
