BC2 does its best. Chews up an impressive amount of download limit for any sort of regular play.Dilbert_X wrote:

Only way to find out I guess is to use the task manager, play for an hour and then see what it says.

This is obvious but needs addressing.
PC players upload once to the dedicated server you're playing on... and then download in a package all the other player's positions/actions etc
Console players must upload for each player that is in their session, and download from every other player.
And then they say "why is there no lag?" when using the PC.

I want BF2's weapon and map design with BC2's everything else. This so far seems to be that.

if they are to be trusted, no more kidnapping in BF3
"the ability to decline a revive from a medic (as not to become a victim of stat-padding or just a greedy medic reviving you in the middle of a firefight)."
"the ability to decline a revive from a medic (as not to become a victim of stat-padding or just a greedy medic reviving you in the middle of a firefight)."
I dont know why people were bothered by that so much. Most of the time the medic had good intentions.

e.g., all DICE Battlefield games for the console run on dedicated servers, too, just like the PC versions.

If you did want to get pedantic though he did say "all PC games don't have dedicated servers", when clearly many do...Adams_BJ wrote:

Sometimes if it dragged on it could get a little irritating to have your spawn timer constantly reset by a medic only to die one second later to x unseen enemiesJay wrote:

Are weapons faction specific in BF3 or are players able to equip every single weapon at their disposal like in the Bad Company spinoffs? I'm hoping it's the first... Also, am I the only one who dislikes scoring systems with inflated numbers, like 100 points for a kill? I prefer the simplicity of the scoring system in BF2 but I've noticed that they're going with a BC-esque type.
