I hope so. I love people bitching about how stupid they [the player] are, makes me lol.Jaekus wrote:
Are claymores even included in BF3?
EDIT: So there's no ambiguity.

You can´t drop unlimited mines in BC2.Jaekus wrote:
Imagine if you could drop unlimited clays, like you can AT mines in BC2
naw, snipers having anything more than a shoe lace and a condom wrapper would completely imbalance the game and turn snipers into the predominant killing machines of bf3.Jaekus wrote:

Have you tried?Sisco wrote:

The better solution, as stated before, would be to auto-squelch spotted spam to keep people from abusing the command by endlessly probing likely spots. WTF good would it do you if you DO see the sniper but can't point him out to your buddies because of some lame hardwired limitation?-prone snipers should be invisible to commander scans, UAVs and "spotted" hunting.
I'd just like to see snipers get back some of their reconnaissance roll with commanders having to rely more on provided coordinates for ordnance strikes. The purpose is sorta defeated when the enemy commander can know where every player is at any time, even when it's a sniper doing everything he can to keep a low profile.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

The one concession I would make would be a 'light bar' for snipers. Run or fire a shot and the area within x meters around you is compromised. You will be seen by sat/UAV until you leave the area (indicated by fading light). 'Stealth volumes' could be stuck around the map, enabling this to work in areas where it makes sense, but not out in plain view. Of course, I would make no changes to being able to 'spot' a sniper, other than the aforementioned autosquelch.Reciprocity wrote:

Of course. You can max drop 6 mines, after that the ones dropped first disappear.Jaekus wrote:

Just add muzzle blast dust signature.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Could get snipers fighting closer to the way they should be fighting, unless they want to get stuck in with everyone able to see them just like any other infantry (I was confident enough with most of the rifles in 2 that I didn't need a hiding spot all the time).
not every sniper is going to be using a .50 with a huge ass muzzle brakeDilbert_X wrote:

yes, a bad commander can lost you a round, worse than no commander in some cases if arty FF is on.Pure_Beef_68 wrote:
Seeing as there is no commander, there needs to be a squad leader chat, the ability to see other squads movement markers on the map and - most importantly - the ability to mute.
I remember having plenty of 10-year-old commanders who would squeal or sing down the mic constantly during play, the only way to shut them up was to convince the rest of the squad that the commander was a fucking idiot, and that he needed to be kicked.
