I disagree with your distinctions on different Christian faiths but also I'm not denying that there are positive religious outlets that don't reflect the greed an immorality that religion itself does. There are groups like the Salvation Army who collect and distribute for the less fortunate all the time. You can look at one local church and see no more than a positive community organisation. But this church will have ties to the wider religious community which as a whole reflects exactly what I'm talking about.

Anyway, my main point was on the falsely perceived ties between morality and religion.

They are PEOPLE and a RELIGION, they are 2 distinct things. I did not say ALL MUSLIMS are violent, nor did I say ALL CHRISTIANS try to cash in on Christianity.

I already asked you a question you bowed out from answering so I will try again. If you can state that different Muslims follow different aspects of Islam and to different degrees, why can I not judge EACH Muslim accordingly instead of you insisting I mean ALL MUSLIMS when I talk about Islam?

Because most often the followers are synonymous with their religion ... quite as easy as that really ...

You really can't hate the religion without hating those that practice it, because without the practice the reason for hating the religion wouldn't arise ...

So when you say Islam is violent you condemn its followers to be violent.

This is logic lowing and everyone but you seems to get it so stop making excuses for separating the religion from the its belivevers.

The answer is quite simply: When you generalize a religion like that you also generalize its followers, had you rather pinpointed that you speak of a violent radical Islam I would agree but you don't ...

Ya that's one of the reasons religion is so dangerous when someone who's mentally unhinged is influenced to that degree.

Virtually any message is a danger to a psychopath. They posses a completely different rationale. The real scary thing is that these deranged people often go unnoticed.. or at least aren't identified as a threat.

An undiagnosed Schizophrenic person is particularly dangerous. Remember the guy that decapitated and cannibalized the man on a bus in Canada?
