this morning I listened to my boss explain that Obama has co-opted the navy seals to operate as his own personal death squads. He's convinced that Obama ordered the "assassination" of bin Laden expressly for the puprose of protecting some dangerous, unknown secret that would cost Obama his political future.
The fact that this happend under Obama's watch is, I think, too much for him to handle. The only way he can compute it is to somehow twist Obama into the aggressor and bin Laden into some kind of victim. I think that's the only way the information will fit into his head. I wish I was joking.
tbh I'm not sure how this will affect Obama's re-election. George Bush Sr had amazing approval ratings after the Gulf War, but by the time the election rolled around he lost.

Anyways, I was watching the local Fox channel when they interrupted Simpsons for the news. Geraldo Rivera had fucked up and said "It's confirmed, Obama is dead." He's getting too old for that sort of thing.

Yeah, I'm sure that's exactly how it went... what happens if it fails? What happens if the compound if boobytrapped and all of ST6 there gets blown to bits? What if the proper planning isn't done and he slips away again? What if the whole situation goes Carter-Iran hostage situation? There's so many things that had to be taken into considering, and I'm sure Obama was thoroughly involved with them. Brennan was right. It was a gutsy decision, because this could have gone very poorly for us. It didn't, and it was handled with much dilligence by all involved. For that I'm grateful.Jay wrote:

I'm no huge Obama fan, but to not give him some credit where it's due on a major success like this is the only thing that's absurd.

I guess the choice of titles are just supposed to be satirical. Or maybe they just have a "type Barrack Obama's name" quota they need to reach. I dunno.

When I was at the WTC site last night I can assure you I didn't hear Obama's name more than once or twice.
I'm telling you right now, the guy had zero involvement. Any intelligent person would leave it to professionals to handle. I dislike Obama, but he's no dummy.Poseidon wrote:

I tip my hat to the Intelligence Community and then also to President Obama for authorizing this.
