This has always bugged me somewhat.

As soon as I start typing a message to, say, "Jack," an indicator on the bottom of the chat window tells me that "Jack is typing a message," even if Jack isn't. Without fail. If I erase what I've typed so far, it disappears. Anyone else experience this?

Don't you hate when you start typing a message, and see that they have also started. So you stop to see what they are going to say, but they too have just stopped typing to see what you are about to say?

Yeah, I used to think that was what was happening, until it became too common of an occurrence and could be replicated at will, whether or not the intended recipient was online or offline.

I think this only happens if they have left something in the input field.
