Gas prices are crazy so Post what you do to save gas. I put a cold air intake in my GMC sierra 1500, I get about 15-16 mpg now as opposed to 13-14
Well, i dont really drive something that's economic on fuel so...But yeah, better intake can help, making sure your Catalyst converter is working well (Not cloged) O2 sensor working properly...Tire inflation is 32 for car...42 for most trucks...etc etc.
I also fill up at costco gotta like the 6 cents cheaper
I don´t have a car anymore and use public transportation.
walk my ass to work.
spring has sprung.
spring has sprung.
Try not to think about the truck I want.
even with gas at 4.17 a gallon i still fill my CRX up for about 36-40 bucks. Only having to fill up a few times a month helps a lot too. Replaced air filter and plugs tonight and gonna get an oil and trans fluid change tomorrow.
I bought (yet again) a car with good MPG.GR34 wrote:

City: 27,5 MPG (8,6 l/ 100km)
Highway: 46 MPG (5,1l / 100 km)
EU-combined: 31 MPG (7,6l / 100km)
Or at least that's what it says in the manual as far as I recall. I'm getting 8,2 litres / 100km right now, so that's 28,5 MPG.
€ 1,57 / litre here = € 5,942 / gallon = $ 8,464 / gallon.iceman785 wrote:

It's a case of what you're used to. 4,17 a gallon is of course a high price if you're used to a much lower price tag.KuSTaV wrote:

It's a petrol engine. 1.6 litre naturally aspirated. 115 bhp, so quite lazy, but it takes me from A to B.

Exactly, gas used to be like 3.25 but it jumped badly recently. glad my honda is a small 2 seater with 90 hp.DonFck wrote:

Tell me about it. Gas was 1,25 a year ago, now at 1,57. I remember paying 1€ / litre, those were the days. And note that we mix 10% ethanol in our 95 Octane since Jan 1st, it still has no effect whatsoever on the price.

My civics pretty good with it, 30mpg in city/town about 50-60mpg on motorways. Just make sure you aren't going over 2000 revs tbh.
Finland uses US gallons... For shame.DonFck wrote:

Anyway, I but my petrol on Mondays or Tuesday.
Try to earn lots of money, not drive too much and keep my car in reasonable shape.GR34 wrote:

Fuel = 1.9% of my income so I don't cry too much
Fuck Israel
We use litres. I converted to US gallons so that the price would directly compare with that of the US. However, what I didn't take into account was the fuel octane.DrunkFace wrote:

My car cost me quite a lot on petrol, but it's nice to drive. I fill it up with 99-100 octane fuel.
roughly combined..
20.8mpg (US gallons)
25mpg (UK gallons)
11.3 litre / 100km
I save quite a lot on servicing though as I do pretty much everything by myself.

Since I pretty much only drive in the city or full blast on the German Autobahn I get like 13L/100km. The joys of a petrol straight 6
The only thing I don't like is that there are so many Danes on the Autobahn between Hamburg-Flensburg. They should all be taken out into the woods and shot. Left lane, going maybe 100km/h. What a bunch of jerks.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Stop whining amerifags, I paid up to 1,80€ per liter at times.
I get ~6mpg (UK)
Not bad for a 9L engine, and it's only 57p/L

for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.
UK 6mpg.. shocking.. you roughly need 75 litres of petrol to go 100 miles! That's over £100 ($145)!
