That sounds incredibly tolerant and inclusive to me.

Point is, anything can be made to look bad if taken out of context. I could rip through the Bible and point out how awful and violent Christians are if I wanted to.

i never understood the distinction between the old testament and the new testament for christians

most nutjob hardcore christians derive their scriptural teachings from the OT... why are the moderate christians ashamed of it?

no the point is: compare the messenger Christ and his teachings as a human, to those of the messenger Muhammad and his teachings as a human. See if you can leave the witchcraft and fire and brimstone out of it.

Hell, the Bill of Rights is basically a list and we're still arguing what "the people", "unreasonable", and "cruel and unusual punishments" mean.
