It got too crowded and they had a lack of equipment (everything was brand new, loads of machines, but no small plates and squat rack)

A new TI-89 to replace the one I destroyed on a job site the other day

how much better is it than the 84+?
It depends on what you need it for... if you just want to do very basic calc then the 84 is fine. For anything above that difficulty in math, the 89 is almost necessary. As an engineer, I don't leave home without it.menzo wrote:

Also, with the price difference between the two being so small, there's really no reason not to just get the 89 imo.
Right now, on Amazon, the 84 Silver+ is selling for $127.60, the 89 Titanium is selling for $139.39.

Doing fine with the 83, used it forever.
Then again I suppose when you don't have pen/paper/time at hand it's useful to have an 89, I see it has nice additions.

inane little opines
fuel and a car wash
mini maryland cookies and a can of relentless
oh and some taco bell and groceries.
I've never bought a game guide before but this one comes with a built in art book and interviews so I thought it would be a pretty cool thing to have, even if I'm not going to use the guide at all. Plus it has a lovely hard cover.

Any comment as to the size of the game/completion time? Cos I don't wanna pay full price for Portal 2 if it's as tiny as Portal 1.

Car wash, with wax.
It has 2 complete seperate campaigns in it (singleplayer, co-op) that are each over twice as long as Portal 1. It also has new characters and a complete mystery of a story I can't wait to get into.FFLink wrote:

Plus Valve's combined knowledge of creating great singleplayer games. I'd say it's worth it, especially to play it before all the 'cool stuff' is widely known and the game is ruined.
Yes I'm quite excited.
