3 mile was way before I was around so I can't really judge media cover, most of the info from the national news over here has been more or less accurate so far, on BBC they had a couple good people as well (but quite a few idiots nonetheless). If I watch US news networks it's usually via the internet, so I wouldn't know about your coverage of the story - cept for some articles.

Edit: It's the MIT Nuclear Science and Engineering group. They define a lot of the terms (both basic and technical) being thrown around with a greater degree of specificity than the mainstream news does.
Yeah I've been reading mitnse most of the time as well.
