Because endorsing an entire brand based on the performance of a handful of models is inane. The people who've been saying "buy a Samsung" since the 22xBW models have typically been endorsing good, but not great monitors at many price points. Even when the 22xBW line had its A, B, C panel issues, these same people were still fervently recommending them when superior monitors at similar prices were on the market.

The point is that if you're going to buy a monitor that you'll be staring at for 2-3 years, if not more, you really ought to spend at least an hour or two making sure you're choosing the right one, rather than just "buying a Samsung."

What is the difference between DDR3 1333 (PC3 10660) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) ram? Will a PC that takes 1333 accept all 1333? Which one is better?

I don't exactly know why they have diff 1333s, but you'd have to go to the mobo manufacturer's site to see what your mobo will support.

Granted it won't be ALL the ram it supports, but you should be able to tell which 1333 ram it does support and go for a brand that is listed cuz more than likely it'll be supported.

Asus P6T (not the deluxe or SE, not particularly happy with this mobo, but will do)
2x500GB SATA drives
8800GTS 640MB

I want something that will be able to take on the newer games (BF3 and all that).

Don't want to spend over £250 if necessary.

Tips? I'm lost in the world of GFXs now... been far too busy with other things.
