Naw they'll take your drivers license.
I wouldn't. Bring your passport to be sure.
drivers license worked for me when I was in the US lol.

but if you want to bring your passport just to be sure at clubs, you should just bring a photocopy so you don't get F'd in the A when you lose your passport

So they accept a photocopy with my licence? Really would prefer to leave the passport in my room.

It's not all confirmed yet, my friends have a lot of paperwork to get through and they're currently in Japan... But I'm sure it'll all work out. I've started dropping cash down to clear my credit card anyway.

Should be able to work, thats what my dad told me to do if I didn't want to bring out my ID as proof of age. But I'm pretty sure they'd take your Aussie license.

As a bartender, I would laugh at you if you came up with a photocopy of your license as proof of ID. It would make a great story to tell for a few days... But that is here, where the liquor license pays my bills. Maybe you'll have better luck in Vega$. Doubt it.

Naw I'm talking about bringing a photocopy of your passport with the original drivers license lol.

Yeah, I wouldn't just bring a photocopy

Also, I'm now thinking of extending the trip to three weeks. Only reason why it was going to be two was for a gig back home on the 27th, but I think I'll say I can't do it. Spending an extra grand for an extra week is a lot cheaper than trying to come back and do it some more.

No, he won't get in anywhere in Vegas. The photocopy is in case you lose your passport, you won't get in anywhere without your real ID there.

I was just going to carry a photocopy along with my proper driver's licence as reinforcement of my ID.

There's no way I look 21 anyway, but still, everywhere in Brisbane checks for ID no matter how old you look.

In Vegas you'll get ID'd if you're 75 years old. No joke.

Yeah I figured it would be the case. I guess I'll just have to find out when I get there. I think extending the trip to 3 weeks is a really good idea.

I never got carded in Vegas, even when I was college age.  Not even at places like Crazy Horse.

I get carded walking through the casino...not even when I'm sitting down, when I'm walking through the casino

And don't listen to Ghetto's advice of tipping $5-$10 at first, there's no need UNLESS you are planning on staying at the bar for an extended period of time AND the bar is packed.

And I'd stay away from the pool parties for the most part.  It's fun to go and check out once just to see what they are all about and to stare at the eye candy, but those pool parties are waay too douchey to become a frequent visitor to.

Uhhhh I think that's kind of obvious, isn't it? If you're only buying one drink you don't need the bartender again, and if there's no one at the bar then they're not going to ignore you because you tipped the standard amount.

I can't remember ever being at a bar in Vegas where it was completely packed.  Club or bar.  There's too many around for any one place to be packed.

I was there 2 months ago.  I was at XS, Surrender and Marquee.  None of them had a busy bar when I was there.  Not busy enough to tip a bartender $10 to remember my name anyway.  Whatever, to each their own.  Also, I wouldn't recommend Surrender.  XS and Marquee are pretty solid though.  Especially XS.  Full of beautiful people.

Ok, well I guess perhaps it differs? Well that's a fucking huge surprise. Surrender is awesome, I really liked it. You've gotta see it if only because it's so different to anything else. Haven't been to Marquee yet, it wasn't open when I was there last.

Well, I wouldn't call January the time that most "younger" people go to Vegas.  Excluding around New Year.
