you do realise that 99% of music is only meant to be played on a 2.1 system, right? dividing music into five channels just distorts the original sound-source, and most conventional desktop/pc speakers have to try (very poorly) to 'reconstruct' the sound's balance and fidelity. only superheadphones can top it? are you kidding? there's an entire market of speakers and hi-fi equipment, suitable for a desktop pc, that blow crappy logitech stuff out of the water. pc gaming speakers are normally a joke-- in terms of their hardware and their application. bass heavy 5.1? no thanks, muddying up my music

personally I always felt that music sounds better distributed over multipile channels, it's sort of the same feel headphones produce. 2.1 just doesn't do it justice.

New Cex release Tiny Creatures is definitely worth a listen. This single is the only track available on youtube as far as I've seen, but it's a fairly good representation of the quality of the album.
