the corporate entities hardly determine the drinks, do they? bud light is sold exclusively in america, marketed to americans, and consumed by americans. that's like saying english bottled water is owned by coca cola, therefore we drink american bottled water. no. ffs the corporations and business 'behind' the products has nothing to do with the product/drinks themselves. it's just who collects the big cheque at the end of each quarter.

'north america' pretty much has the same drinking culture, so we can more or less use america-canada interchangeably when comparing to 'european' beer drinking. and you're honestly going to try and argue that bud light is consumed in anywhere near the same amounts / market % in ireland/sweden as it is in NA? honestly? light beers are an american thing... i'm sure it's imported over here and sold in liquor stores/off licenses as a niche product, but it just isn't as popular. the only light beer i see on tap over here is corrs light... nor sure i've ever seen the non-light version. they're the only beer company trying to 'penetrate' the european market with the light-beer niche. and it IS a niche.

well nothing is sold literally 'exclusively', is it? anything and everything can be imported/exported nowadays. what i meant by the phrase was that it's an essentially 'american' product. but okay, if you're being literal and arguing semantics... not 'exclusive', no. what major beer/alcoholic beverage is? only microbreweries are exclusive and that's because of their distribution networks

It's because you have zero class.

No, I just care about what I drink. It's got nothing to do with the name on the bottle and everything to do with the ingredients that go into it. You're ignorant so you scoff at people who care about stuff like that. This is, of course, completely ironic since you are the asshole preaching veganism and anti-oil rhetoric on here whenever you can. I guess we'll have to wait for Planet Green channel to do a special on microbrews and then you'll be all about it.

I've heard awesome things about pliny the elder. Russian River Brew Co. is a good one but I love anything Stone Brewery produces. Their Russian Imperial Stout is my favorite beer of all time.

How do you think the beer gets into the tap at a bar? Do you think they have a direct intercontinental link to the brewery? Are there underground pipes with foaming luscious beer snaking all over the US? Or... does the beer arrive in kegs and sit in a refrigerated room?
