just found out a close friend of mine from the english course killed herself today... jumped in front of a train. was chatting to her literally 3 days ago about her being depressed and taking medication; i said i had a similar sort of shitfest last year and that it sucks. feel really fucking shocked. so much more shit i could have said and done... feels like i hardly gave her the time of day. didn't recognise it as a cry for help or anything like that... but was a little offput about how openly and candidly she was talking about it. what a weird fucking life we lead, sisters

Depression are always a lot worse than you suspect. if you were to put a scale of 1 out of 10 on being depressed and someone said he's feeling like a 6 he's actually feeling like an 8 in reality. Thats problem about depressions, you never quite know how bad it actually is.

Picking a study is hard. Not that i didnt know that when i started (although i did jump into it a bit too quick the 1st time) but still.. damn. Having a open day with all bachelorstudies on saturday at one of the uni's here. i hope that it will give me some idea of what to choose.
it's just so fucking weird. our english department here with the finalists is a really close-knit community. everyone's shocked, because even if you're not friends you have definitely shared a small classroom-environment with that person. literally only yesterday i wrote a facebook status of 'isoleé' (referencing the microhouse artist) and she replied in french saying something along the lines of 'me too, i feel down'. i just fucking ignored it... because it was such an awkward thing to reply to. i just glossed over it and thought "weird thing to say". now she's dead. it makes it so much weirder and disturbing when you've suffered from depression and suicidal ideation yourself... you just feel like an idiot.
