I was listing good/entertaining movies for Hurricane. Maybe I should've marked it [Starship Troopers]?
unnamednewbie13 prefers the sequel.
And the Minecraft movie.
Tremors
All Starship Troopers needed was funding to actually make the troopers look like they came from a space ship from a different star system, and for the bugs to look like an actual threat, and I would have been able to more thoroughly appreciate the bug squashing.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

I know I'm probably outnumbered, but 5/10.
I'd love to see it redone with the same pacing...just with a bigger budget.
I can't even think of a single way to turn Minecraft into anything but a video game.Poseidon wrote:

Spoiler tags for a movie from 1997 that gives away the plot with the posters?
Seriously, what could you possibly do with a Minecraft movie license? You'd have to completely reinvent the pace.RTHKI wrote:

Leave it to UNN13 to completely overanalyze a movie that's supposed to be nothing but sheer fun.
Sheer fun and Denise Richards.Poseidon wrote:

pre-Sheen
If I really wanted, I could let it go like I did with Alien and just enjoy it. Only problem is, I keep comparing it to the book.Poseidon wrote:

Uhhh well it's not a documentary is it? I'm quite sure there's a huge number of inaccuracies in it, in order to make it a watchable movie.Dilbert_X wrote:
Wut?whilst obviously a work of fiction
Only had time for a coupleWinston_Churchill wrote:

Dances With Wolves - 8/10, kept me interested for 4 hours, pretty impressive
Dark City - 7/10, interesting but not great
Bon Cop Bad Cop - 8.5/10, youd have to be Ontarian or Quebecois to enjoy this
High Fidelity - 7.5/10, liked a few of the quotes in it, Jack Black is really annoying as always.
Stone - 7/10, well done, but just couldnt keep interest in it. interesting storyline though
The French Connection - 6/10, meh. not really a fan
Came out the same time as the Matrix.Winston_Churchill wrote:

Shame dark city didn't have a larger budget.

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
They certainly crushed my heart when all I got was a weird CG Patrick Stewart and not the real thing.

black swan - 7/10 psychological thriller that can be a mind fuck. it's all about the natalie portman character's transformation from frail to bad to the bone. if you like natalie portman, im sure you will enjoy her in this performance
