i buy probably 6-10 ppv a year, depending on how exciting i think the fights are going to be. I was planning on getting the new year card pretty much because of Jose Aldo, but now that he's out with an injury I'll have to rethink it.

hahha Dana White was gonna make another Lesnar fight with Mir (the third one) then people spammed his twitter account telling him not to do it.. so he changed his mindMutantbear wrote:

good to see international MMA fighters are making an impact in UFC they need to make it even more diverse (include more fighters from other places around the world, -- recruit more fighters from Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and possibly Eskimos from Antarctica, central America, and more fighters out of S. America that are not Brazilian) (also have some sort of a world tournament in MMA where all of the countries get to participate kind of like a world cup of MMA that would be cool)
Velazquez (Mexican) HW
Rua Brazilian LHW
Silva Brazilian MW
St. Pierre (French Canadian)
Edgar LW (Italian- American)
Aldo (Brazilian) FW
also the Fertitta brothers ought to bring over some of the other (good fighters) from Strikeforce to UFC..

Chuck Liddells last 3 fights are some of my favourites, as they all ended with him getting knocked out. I fucking hate Chuck Liddell.

you like any English MMA fighters....KingCheese wrote:

Not a massive fan of his but Bisping is sure a capable fighter. Big Dan Hardy fan (from my hometown), and a fan of Paul Semtex Daily. Shame he got himself banned from the UFC - he coulda had a career there and made lotsa money.blademaster wrote:

yeah I remember the Hardy fight... he was training with some of the guys from NJ.. Matt Serra and forgot who else prior to the GSP fight... how is MMA over there... also you like that guy Bisping the Brit who is of off Polish decent...
Popularity wise MMA is not huge here, but it is definately a growing thing - the events that have been held here have all sold out in minutes. Thing with UK fighters is that we don't really produce anything but strikers. We have no top quality Jiu Jitsu or Wrestling coaches over here. And I wouldn't go as far as to say I liked Bisping, I just have a bit more respect for him these days (since the Akiyama fight probably).

you guys have a couple good jiujitsu teachers over there. Just give it a few years. The wrestling fad prevalent in MMA is slowly going away already anyway. The (largely American) wrestlers are learning that the UFC rewards good fights, and a lot of time wrestling to a win doesn't necessarily equal a good fight.
Really excited to see the Jon Fitch / BJ Penn fight. That should produce some fireworks.

I can't get enough of this
He wasn't expecting it at all, haha, his hands/arms were nowhere for that
He was looking for a flying knee instead of a right kick off the fence. Great execution on Pettis' part. That guy's a beast.Mekstizzle wrote:

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Shogun is going to mess up Jonny Bones Jones. Shogun is waayy higher level talent than anyone Jones has faced thus far.
I own the 2005 Pride GP on DVD. Shogun is a bad bad man.
Fight was typical Anderson Silva as of late - looks disinterested, decides to end the fight when he wants by whatever he wants. You can't talk shit on a Seagal teep for knockout!

Yeah shogun is awesome, wasn't into mma back when pride was knocking about but i watched him dystroy Arona on youtube not to mention crazy ass head stomps
anyway my coach won on Friday triangle choke from side mount. Taught the move all week, stated that what he's going to use to win in the first round. And did just that.

Big fight coming up next week, first leg of the Strikeforce HW tourney. You guys get that over there? If not, stream it. It should be pretty darn good.
dont think we get strikeforce.
UFC (in US) starts at 3am over here and main card usually airs approx 5am. I dont bother staying up and just watch a stream the next morning.
