My sore thumbs left me no choice but to test B-Spec yesterday
B-spec is hugely improved since GT4, much more to consider ... I have two drivers, one with a cool temper and one that is hot-headed and they both serve their purpose, the cool one for high powered cars in fast paced races and the other for more similar powered cars with a tad more fighting going on ... beware that the cool driver needs more attention or he'll be loosing seconds fast.
Also the physical and mental strenght of the driver will swing back and forth aka fatigue if you use him too much, also his confidence will go down if he doesn't do well ... there are also more laps in the B-spec races.
Currently B-spec lvl 10 and A-spec lvl 17
Finished the iA license after some struggle with the iA-10, am saving the S license for a little later ...
I love this game
Fav cars atm: Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Lambo Gallardo, Chevy Camaro Z28 and McLaren F1 Stealth Car(preorder bonus car)
Be careful buying used cars, they all need a oilchange before you use them and some of them may have a severe engine problem ... I bought a 100K Lambo Countach and if I was to repair the engine and body damage it would cost almost 300K ... I sold it for roughly half of what I paid

Gave in, its on its way. Needed a ps3 also, that's on it way also
A matter of preference I believe ... like with all games, either you like it or you don'tJenspm wrote:

I absolutely fucking loved GT3 A-Spec, and GT4, but this looks almost exactly the same as GT4... I was waiting on something unbelievable, but I never got it.Jenspm wrote:

^^ Then you haven't played it enough ... it's there alright )

Seriously? We and my big bro went and got it the other day, but I had to go to work, came home and played the Top Gear test track... Compared to what I remember GT4 being, this is the same Guess I should play more.Varegg wrote:

definitely - I've been playing a lot of racing games recently, and GT5 just doesn't 'do it' for me. There are clearly different styles within the racing genre, and the racing style in GT5 just isn't for me.Varegg wrote:

I think so ... you even have to warm the tires before doing hazardious manouvers ... that's implemented better than in previous games imo ...jord wrote:

*Lightblue is warm enough and equals great traction
*Dark blue is cold and asures you a offtrack visit during a powerslide
*Red equals no traction what-so-ever, prolly great for drifting
Different cars behaves differently like they always have in the GT series ... some bad behaved cars can be corrected and some just doesn't suit your style of driving ... but then again YOU may perfectly control a car I have problems with etc etc ...
And you really feel the differences between gravel, snow, uneven surfaces etc etc ...
Biggest improvements physics wise I think is the rally events, in earlier GT games it was a walk in the park to do the rally events, that's more realistic now me thinks ...

Physics seem fantastic. Best driving game I've ever played.
Whilst the single player seems done extremely well, there doesn't seem to be that much of it and almost all of it is pretty easy (I'm only lvl 19 - haven't tried Expert levels yet). The Sebastian Loeb rally stuff is pretty tough though - as is that Top Gear level in the Lotus, that thing is a real handful.

The Top Gear lotus event is really challenging... i recall giving up after failing to get past the first corner lol, that car's all over place!
I just reached level 15, bring on the expert series

Am I the only one who thinks of GT as a game you just pick a car and a track in?
rather than go through all the long/hard/annoying ass premade ones?
Maybe that's why it's better for me to keep it as a game I play if I go to someone who has it?
