Snow in the back garden is seven inches on the patio, eight at its lowest on the grass (haven't yet ventured further), and nine on top of the barbecue.
Edit: Funny you should mention lighting Camm. On Friday night we had a blue flash and a thunderclap. Only the one though.

I've just witnessed the loudest thunderclap I've ever heard, it literally shook the house. In the middle of a snow storm too
