This had to do with the fact that the guns in CoD1 had load of recoil and low rates of fire.

That was District I think you're thinking of. Brecourt was a CoD1 map which got ported into CoD2 as ... shit, somewhere in France iirc, missed CoD4, and was put into MW2 as Wasteland.

As far as weapons go... I've just been goofing around against bots because of all the lag and yadda yadda, so anything is effective. I do like the AK74u and AK47. Also get a kick out of marathon+lightweight with ballistic knife.

I've gone through the whole config file and disabled everything I could think of. Water effects, shadows, motionblur... Disabled AA and AF, put everything on low... Still framerate issues.

I'll check for driver updates and play around with the settings some more. Have they updated the game within the past 4 or 5 days?

I don't think so. I played on Cammy's computer for a bit and it was stuttery as hell, then on mine it was fnie. Matty don't you have a Q9550? Should run fine on that if it's fine on my Q9300. Are you using the priority hotfix?

Yeah, have a 9550. Tried fixing the priority, and disabling steam overlay, still had issues.
