Glenn still helps him get out. The only person in the city in that is in teh book is Andrea and in the book you dont meet her till Rick goes back to teh camp with Glenn.:blacKOut: wrote:
Then how did they get out of the city in the comic? /not spoiler worthy since I'm talking about the comic.OmniDeath wrote:
It's been awhile since I read the comics, but was any of the stuff in the second episode in there? Other than Glenn I don't remember any of the characters in the city, or the events that take place...
Spoiler (highlight to read):
other than the part about using the smell to get past zombies and then the rain washing it off, but in the comic that's used in a completely different scene.

1) I don't know how to feel about Shane. He did cause Lori to essentially cheat without knowing for real if Rick was dead or not. Yet, he's obviously still trying to help Carl out and act like a father figure when his real father's attempting to be the leader/hero. Plus, that beatdown he pulled on Ed was epic. Ed is an ass and deserved it completely.
2) Left 4 Dead anyone? 4 guys going into the city..
3) Lots of gore in that one. Love it.
4) I feel like Merle's going to kill a major character, then be killed himself.
One of the few strays from the graphic novel so far. Shane and Lori werent banging in the comic. They had done once but not everytime she went for a walk in the forest.Poseidon wrote:

^this. Lori regretted hooking up with shane immediately in the book, made her look sooooo trashy on the show. But it shows Shane as being more manipulative than in the book, cause in the show he told her Rick was dead. In the book I don't recall that happening.JahManRed wrote:

Yeah, I agree. There seems to be way too many doucebags who survived the apocalypse. I guess they use these people as plot fillers, or use them to develop some stupid subplot that ends up intersecting the main plot. And by that I mean they will force the normal people to put their lives in danger, a la rescuing the racist due on the roof.PrivateVendetta wrote:

Also, cut off your hand or try to cut the chain of the cuff?
I believe he single-handedly climbed down the ladder that Glenn and Rick used when they were escaping the zombies in episode 2.PrivateVendetta wrote:
If he wasn't on the roof, and the door was chained, was he meant to have jumped? Then I suppose it wouldn't have mattered if he was missing a hand or not.

He will turn up later probably. You cant have a US blockbuster without a rasisim story thread. He will also probably convert and become best mates with the black dude after he saves him at some point.Ultrafunkula wrote:
I wonder where mr. redneck went. Since there were no zombies left in the staircase when they ran up in the end. My first thought was that he's hiding behind the wall next to the roof exit but the zombies would still smell him although they don't see him.
