I just bought a jg MP5 with a light on it. Had the thing for two days and it skited out on me and went full auto in safety mode and now won't fire at all.

So should I try to fix it myself, might just be something in the switch.

Bring it back and get the same one

or

Bring it back and upgrade it to the little more expensive M4 that I wantted to get?

Yeah it's an extra 100 but it seemed like a better gun. Not sure of the brand though.

I've seen far too many people play without - airsoft-101 guys, come on! By far the most common mistake amongst amateurs.

I would get an M4, the mp5 has a major drawback which are the small magazines...
if you want to keep it then find an airsoft store and ask the guy to look at it. It should be free..atleast the shop where i go to.

I say you could probably fix it. Check the hop up and the inner selector switch. It sounds like you might have switched the inner and outer selector switches. Open up the body and take some pictures. Post them and I might be able to help you.
